Tradition tells us that St. Ann was the mother of Mary. As patron of hearth and home, she has watched over mothers and homemakers for centuries. In this iimage, Ann is in quiet contemplation at the kitchen table. it is a sacramental moment in which the humdrum of the ordinary is tranformed into the awareness that God is present in all the activities of the home.
