Joy of the Lord! (Framed Petite Print Duo)

This beautiful, little framed painting is so small it can fit almost anywhere! It features a hand-signed print of an original painting by Salesian artist Catherine Obreza Fetterman entitled Joy of the Lord (part of her Breath of Life series of paintings) along with an inspirational scripture quote from Isaiah 40:31.

Packaged with each framed print is a description of the painting and its spiritual message.

Background story about the Image:  The dancing figure in this image was created while I was experimenting with India ink and watercolor. I had no preconceived design in mind when I set out to paint that day – dripping India ink on the paper, blowing it around with a straw and tapping my painting board on the table to make drips run farther. I then added the colors in watercolor. It wasn’t until I had finished the painting and had turned it on its side that I discovered the figure of a dancer with her hands and face reaching towards heaven. Immediately, I saw in her a visual reminder to keep my eyes on the Lord regardless of what may be pulling me down physically, emotionally or spiritually.  I have since created a series of paintings incorporating this figure – sometimes with scripture and other times with swirls of color symbolizing the gift of the Holy Spirit guiding and filling us. I hope that in some small way this image with help you through your tough times too, for we truly can trust God to lead us in this dance called Life.
